Good first half. Let’s put it in this way. Oh, your soft wurstel E.T.-eyed boy had a big chances in the first half, but instead of shooting immediately, he wasted time.

Broken record? He mad some good interceptions and liked his desire.
He literally made no interceptions today.
He was involved in most of our attacks but sadly his actual impact is just really not that big when some parts break down. With Özil there’s just always that feeling that when the surrounding players don’t have a good game, he’s also not going to be the game changer, which he ideally should be though.

Why have a player like him in the side if you can’t trust him when it matters? Did we not buy him to perform in games like these? What’s the point of keeping him if he can’t be expected to perform in big games? Benching him wouldn’t make sense.
I just think it’s down to the formation and the manager not being able to get the best out of him.
The manager was able last year and not this year… mh, interesting / stranger thing.
