It’s all ifs and buts in the end I guess. I havent seen much impressive from France this tournament so I’m not sure how they would’ve responded had the referee been semi-competent.
They have genuine quality, and perhaps the best squad in the world, but aside from their attacking play against Argentina (who were so wide open at the back throughout this tournament), I have a feeling that would’ve struggled against Croatia had the circumstances been different
