Depends on my mood… Guinness is a good staple - have a great pub nearby with it on tap. Loose Cannon (a local brewery makes it) is a great IPA. On the lighter side I’d say Peroni, Carlsberg are nice. Reality is there are a freakin’ ton of small, very decent breweries all over the US.
If wine, like Cabernet Sauvignon best for reds… whites a nice Pinot probably, but my wife is all about Prosecco and the bubblies, which are good too.
Ocasional vodka/aquavit for holidays… whiskey for special occasions (only the high-end stuff).
Recently tried mead - not sure about it since I don’t love the sweet stuff really, but it is cool and apparently the oldest alcohol created by us and the story of bees is just endlessly fascinating.
