Southampton away is a guaranteed loss.

100%. Sprinkle a couple injuries in there for good measure, probably when sanchez finally breaks down

Go out to Bayern on Away goals.

Drop points in the league out of the title race and back in to a bitter 4th place battle with a resurgent United.

Sanchez out injured. Ozil contributing nothing because he’s played 90mins of every single game without rest for 3months (cuellar will call every game world class regardless). At least one of our defenders will lose all spatial awareness during this point and be repeatedly exploited.

It feels scarily predictable lol.

Scenes if we just power through though.

Imagine that :cech: :campbell: :giroud2:

Honestly, this draw system Uefa have put in to satisfy the TV rights bastards has meant we will always get the same teams over and over again. Teams from the same country cannot be on the same side of the draw so that takes so many permutations out.

Uefa need to get their mouth out the dick of these sponsors and tv companies for the good of the CL.

Lahm still plays. While Coman and Costa do not have the same quality as Robben and Ribery, they are really dangerous options to deal with in case they’re subbed in.
As for Ribery and Robben being “done”, here are the minutes per goal contribution (scorer or assist) for both teams:

  1. Alexis Sanchez: 83
  2. Franck Ribery: 89
  3. Arjen Robben 94
  4. Robert Lewandowski 96
  5. Oxlade-Slumberbrain 102
  6. Theo Walcott 112
  7. Mesut Özil 119

They are still very, very dangerous. Fortunately they are also injured most of the time, and while they are both fit now, this does not have to be the case in february/march.
I fully agree with you about being positive, though. We are a better team than we were last time we met, and they are a worse team. Let’s hope we can conserve our form through winter.

Unlucky draw… we finally get lucky and win the group (thanks for nothing, PSG) and draw f*ing Bayern again. Boring.

We have a chance, but being realistic that is probably out in the R16 again for us. Guess we can focus on the league and FA Cup.

Great Scott Marty, it worked!!

Lose at the Allianz 2-0 win at the Emirates 2-1. Go out on away goals.

You can quote me in March.

That sounds about right. At least Moose should be back healthy for this - we really need him and Koss in the middle.

January signing?
