Players go to Turkey to earn those millions. Their big three is known for paying good money. I reckon he’s not earning that much less, if he is earning less in the first place, than he would have at Manchester United. Turkey is also a huge country, 80 million people. I think there are alot of good commercial options there. Quality of life in Istanbul is also a little better than in Manchester I reckon.
Sneijder wrote history either way, if he would have won another Champions League or not. Winning multiple Champions League’s is a rarity anyways, unless you would have played for Barcelona.
Ozil joining them would be a different story though.
Fenerbache have mega money hence why they can attract good players coming towards the end of their careers. The players arent going for the trophies or the league or whatever. Its a nice final payday for them and they still get to play in European competitions too.
