Not that Ozil is not world class, but He was so much more aggressive in his Werder days.
That said I have only seen handful of his Werder & Pre Real Germany games.
He just doesn’t seem to want to run at defenders anymore.
As players (mainly attackers) get older and more established they often change their game. Rooney used to be very aggressive and run at defences all day. Nowa days he plays slower and more precise.
Young players have it to prove still so end up exerting a lot of energy, sometimes wasted energy too. They grow older and use their energy wiser and adapt their game.

Comparing the videos, the Werder one is including more glorious victories, Leverkusen in the cup-final in Berlin, the win over Bayern in Munich during the Oktoberfest back in 2008 (damn how fast time goes by), they spit in their beer. You could do that also with Arsenal wins with him to get a more exciting video…

Damn our Nike away kit looked really good. Blue yellow and white socks. Looks like shit now with the dark gray and yellow. I like our third kit better tbh. That’s what I was saying about Nike though, they do make some beautiful looking kits.

Only occasionally.
We had so many horrible kits under nike. The spurs kit, the blue pin striped kit, that awful orange and purple one, the home kit with the blue hoops.
Urgh so many clangers in the recent years. It was clear that towards the end they didn’t respect us as a team anymore. The only good kit they did in the last 5 years or so was the blue and yellow away kit. No idea why they didnt do more of those.

The Nike away Yellow/Blue combo is one of my favourite kits we’ve had in recent years. Although, I have to disagree with you about our yellow away we have this season, it’s fucken’ awesome. I love the colour scheme. Not as good as that Nike one but my favourite away alongside that one. Memories of 08, a possible CL run in these colours again maybe?
Anyway, on topic. Give Özil all the money in the world, love him lots, love his celebration. He’ll be bagging one today.
That crest should have been permanent.
