Lucas Pérez

Probably is… :wenger:

It will be an issue when that ankle ligament complicates and it turns into a lengthy injury…

I was missing our injuries during a key moment of the season.

His first season at Arsenal is looking more and more like a non event, they say 6 weeks but with Arsenal thats more likely to be 3 months or so.

His injury didn’t look so serious, but ehi, it’s Arsenal we are talking about :wenger:

Feel like this was the kind of game that would have been ideal for Perez. Sanchez Perez and Walcott would likely have worked very well.

yup Shame he has to get injured. We need options as we are entering that time of season where some of the players will stall performance wise.

Fat rugby player wanker should’ve been fined there was no attempt for the ball rendering it assault.

Personally I think if we are saying that Perez being fit would have gained us 2 points we are clutching at straws.

I still don’t know what we bought Perez.
We have plenty of adequate attacking players like Walcott, Ramsey, Chamberlain, Iwobi, Giroud, Welbeck etc, so why buy another one.

All these players are on massive wages apart from Iwobi, and none of them are top quality.

Sell three or four of them and get a world class winger and striker, and keep the rest as cover.

What’s the point of having so many inconsistent, often injured, adequate players?
It’s these type of players that are holding us back from winning the PL and CL.
Just getting another attacking player like Perez means we have yet another to go on our long list of uninspiring players.
Why?

Come on now you know full well we have to protect the pensions of all the employees of the club.

That flood light bill was a doozy last year.

Is this the time to review Perez’s youtube highlight again?

Well for one there’s the fact that we’re really missing some depth like Pérez atm, so this seems a bit of a weird question to ask…

Anyways that’s quite a pretty broad net you’re casting, hah, the only thing I can really say is consistently in common with all those players is that they are contracted to Arsenal.

Every squad that isn’t Real Madrid or Barça, or maybe Bayern, has its fair share of role players. It’s not really that “type”–like I said, with such a diverse list I can hardly even begin to say what the word “type” means here (if I had to describe each player I’d say: rather good though occasionally quite frustrating specialist, cunt, should be at Cardiff, young tired but very good, easier to manage Mandzukic, player with a definite role to play in a champions league club)–of players that’s holding us back so much as the management.

Way too much focus on transfer policy and squad construction when criticising Wenger, he’s made some errors in this department, especially in the last few years, but overall it’s one of his better traits and holding us back a lot less than his inability to make the whole better than the sum of its parts.

I’d certainly rather have your Perez type player on the bench rather than your next over priced Southampton wonderkid who’s still learning his trade while somehow counting down the days till he retires.

I do feel that if we want to really step things up we need to be looking at at least having 3 elite players in every position of our front 4. So far we have 2 but with our lack of urgency who knows if we’ll even have Alexis or Ozil by the time we finally get that top drawer winger or CF.

Turns out he got injured at a really shit time. He was waiting patiently to get the nod and I think he would be getting it now had he been fit. Shit for us too as we’ll be reluctant to drop Iwobi for our next game.

He’s left us already lads  curse of the #9 strikes again…

Does this sort of thing typically happen?

Does seem rather like he is on his way out already… rehabbing with old team leads to recovery with them, training with them, and then a loan back…

We could really use another wide option right now. Feel bad for him.

Might be homesick.

We have Santi and Nacho here, his “homesick” should not be that serious, if there is…
Just have a concern on why he rehab with his old team…

Fuck, wait for 5 years and thought he could at least give Giroud some challenge, and improve our wide position…

I want to see him in action so badly.
