I have one rather bonkers/unusual idea for a cup competition. You know how in Tennis, they play on different surfaces during the year, grass, clay, tarmac (or whatever the proper term is) what about a cup competition to find the best mixed surfaced team?

So for example, majority of Football is played on Grass or artificial pitches. But imagine at different stages of the competition, you played some games on clay, indoors, or even on the beach! Football is played everywhere on any surface you can find, but I don’t ever recall all of these surfaces being combined into one thing. Usually you have specialises for different styles of Football, so would be kinda interesting to see the best all rounder.

FA cup needs to resort back to 3pm kick off just after the new Year . It used to be great as there was no Sky bullshit just Radio 5 going to the grounds looking for cup upsets and when there was one they always joined for the last 15mins .

I like plenty of ideas on this thread because I can picture what they are trying to achieve but FA cup games at 3pm…I don’t get it? Partly cos I didn’t live in that era I guess but I don’t see how it would improve things.

Reporters at all the grounds . Any shocks on the cards the commentary switched to that ground .

Game should stop when the ball hits the ref. Happened against city and almost lead to a big chance.
Doesnt happen much but when it does it could be decisive.
