I’m going to the West Ham game on Sunday. Was a bit meh about it at first, was just going to keep a friend company. But now i’m glad I said yes. I imagine there will be less empty seats than there might have been and a great reception/lots of banners for the big man

Jesus Christ- he’s not dead! Some of this emotional outpouring is unbelievable. If the players were that bothered they should have been putting in better shifts for the last few seasons.
By all means respect the man but crying because he’s leaving his job is just a bit weird for me. He was clearly not (just) a manager to some of these players and IMO that was half the problem. But as I say, he’s not dead. They can still call him for a dose of that special motivation he was able to instill.

I bet the media will laud this up if/when we lose under a new gaffer (“the fans wanted him out. Now they have a new manager and they’re not happy. Ha!”) They’ll revel in it. The same spiteful bastards that have been asking if it’s the end of Wenger’s tenure over and over again. They’re (the media) now crying over the end of Wenger at Arsenal.
Thanks Wenger, but bye. You can take on some sort of ambassadorial role at the club but thats about the maximum. I’ll be sad if Wenger passes away, but he isn’t dead.
Just imagine the feel good factor if we win the first 3 league games of next season. The belief that we can go on and challenge and the wheels won’t come off in March. That positive energy from the fans will transmit to the players, no.doubt

Jose Mourinho has been speaking about Arsene Wenger in his news conference before Manchester United’s FA Cup semi-final with Tottenham on Saturday.
United play Arsenal on Sunday, 29 April in the Premier League.
“I am really happy for him,” Mourinho said. “I am pretty sure that we as a club, and especially because Mr Wenger and Arsenal were for many years the biggest rivals of Sir Alex’s era, will show Mr Wenger the respect he deserves.”
Mourinho has had a number run-ins with Wenger and famously labelled the Frenchman as a “specialist in failure.”
“It is not about regret. It happened,” Mourinho said on the issues.
"What matters for me is the way I respect the person, the professional and the career.
