Arsenal Vs Östersund (UEL Round of 32 2nd Leg)

Welbeck up top is fine. Not like we can risk Auba anyways.

It’s not really. I think people really underestimate the opportunity lost in situations like this. Between the six pointless Europa League starts we’ve given to Giroud to keep him somewhat appeased–for little to no payoff whatsoever–and now another 180 minutes that a useless Welbeck will have taken from him, we could’ve gained a decent idea of what kind of prospect we have in Eddie (extremely important for further squad decisions, especially re: the necessity of bringing in a young striker or two), accelerated his transition into the first team, and potentially have given him enough confidence and a foot in the door to be useful as a sub off the bench for the first team in meaningful fixtures (something Welbeck is not)–or, as the case is here, have a somewhat satisfactory starter for the next round in the absence of Lacazette.

We’ve been doing this shit for years now under Wenger’s reign. Giving valuable developmental minutes to useless pieces of shite like Chamakh, Welbeck, Giroud, Flamini, the list goes on and on. It’s simply something that a well run club or business would not do, and a luxury that a club such as ours, at a financial disadvantage to competitors like City, United, and Chelsea, cannot afford itself. You have to make up the gains somewhere, and it’s precisely in these kind of areas (efficient squad building/squad management/player development) where such gains should be made up.

Agree, these are key development minutes that we’ve been starved off this season by losing in the Fa Cup 3rd round. Welbeck isn’t even 2nd choice striker now and should either settle for a very bit part squad role or be moved on in the summer. Give the minutes to Edward Nketiah

If Welbeck does start this game, I just hope it’s not because Wenger sees him as part of his plans, but it’s to put him in the shop window.

Although if he doesn’t score yet again against such weak opposition, then the shop window we’ll be selling him in will be Primark rather than Harrods.

Nervous about this one tonight

This will be an easy win.
They might score but we’ll get at least three, or more.

It was to say he is gonna play him today. No chance for Eddie.

Lol! C’mon, we can’t fuck it up

At least today we find out whether it’s being away that makes us shit or if its this kit.

That’s a creative scenario you’ve come up with there and it’s a shame it turned out to be slightly removed from reality.

I think the line-up will be like that.

Maybe someone at the club saw sense.

That line up could be 2-0 down by half time

Hasn’t Wenger already said that Nelson and Nketiah will be on the bench?

We are at home against the IKEA boys :xhaka:

The IKEA boys will be in awe of playing infront of a 60000 sell out thunderous atmosphere, so they’ll be lost for the first 20 or so. I fully expect Arsenal to score first

If they are serious about winning, they have to come and attack us.
As soon as that happens we’ll get them on the break.
We will win this easily.

Put on a fucking good show, can you guys???

We have to win 5 or 6-0 otherwise it’s not worth the watch.
